Eastern Oregon's only two-time football All-American, Havan played at Eastern for two seasons-- 1980 and 1981. At the time of his induction, he shares the school record for pass interceptions in a game with three and holds the single-season interception record of 13, also set in 1980. He had 17 interceptions during his two seasons, just one shy of the school record which was set over four years. In addition to being named an All-American, Havan was an all-conference, all-district and all-northwest selection both seasons. He was also a third team Associated Press College All-American in 1980. Havan also served as the assistant men's basketball coach at Eastern from 1985-86 through the 1987-88 seasons. A 1987 graduate in General Studies, Havan is employed at the McLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn. He resides in Portland.
