LA GRANDE, Ore.- The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (1-30) hosted Lewis-Clark State College (24-12) at Optimist Field in CCC play. LCSC was able to take both games on day one. LCSC grabbed game one 14-1. EOU then battled back, but ultimately LCSC finished the day off with a 15-14 win. The Mounties and Warriors return to action tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. to wrap up the series.
GAME 1
Opening the weekend, LCSC took game one over EOU 14-1. While EOU put up nine hits on the afternoon, it wasn't enough to overcome an explosive offensive attack that included three home runs for the Warriors.
Youhyeon Choi was responsible the lone run off of a
Mario Landeros double in game one for Eastern.Â

GAME 2Â
Both teams settled into a rhythm as game two got underway. EOU and LCSC combined for a total of 35 hits in game two and eight home runs. A late rally by the Mounties almost split the day but the Warriors were able to fight off the comeback attempt. LCSC swept the day, taking game two 15-14.
Mario Landeros and Rogelio each added another homer on the year, while
Austin Gerding tallied his first EOU homerun. For the Warriors, Jordan Justice left the yard twice while Jakob Marquez added a homer of his own with four hits total.
