Nagler Lands All-American Selection at Shortstop

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its 2026 NAIA Baseball All-America Teams, with Eastern Oregon's Jace Nagler earning Third Team All-America honors at shortstop.

Nagler's selection marks the first All-America honor of his career and makes him the first player to receive the distinction since the program's reinstatement in 2021.

The junior made an immediate impact in his first season with the Mounties, adding national recognition to an already impressive list of accolades. Nagler was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Player of the Year, earned First Team All-CCC honors, and was selected as Eastern Oregon University's Baseball Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year.

Defensively, Nagler was a cornerstone of the Mounties' success. He recorded 70 putouts and 145 assists while committing just 10 errors, finishing the season with a .956 fielding percentage at shortstop. His steady play helped anchor a defense that ranked ninth nationally in the NAIA during the regular season.

At the plate, Nagler delivered an outstanding campaign, starting all 47 games and recording 68 hits. He scored 54 runs and drove in 43 RBIs while tallying 15 doubles, three triples, and 14 home runs. He also reached base 46 additional times through walks and hit-by-pitches, contributing to a .507 on-base percentage and a .749 slugging percentage. On the bases, Nagler added 20 stolen bases.

Nagler proved to be one of the NAIA's most complete players this season, combining elite offensive production, dependable defense, and consistent performance throughout the year. His All-America selection is a fitting recognition of a remarkable season.
