LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Track & Field team ended the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships in dramatic fashion, capturing the men's team title and finishing runner-up on the women's side after a standout final day inside Banner Bank Track.
The Mountaineer men secured the CCC Championship with 149.5 points, edging out the competition by just 2.5 points to claim their sixth consecutive conference title and 10th overall championship in program history. The meet came down to the final event of the weekend, as Eastern entered the men's 4x400-meter relay trailing by 2.5 points before delivering a championship-clinching victory.
Eastern closed Day Two of the meet with four additional event titles and 20 All-Conference performances, awarded to the top-three finishers in each event. The Mountaineers also celebrated a large senior class on the day, honoring 16 men and eight women for their dedication and commitment to excellence throughout their careers with the Track & Field program.
Nick Robinson highlighted the sprint events with a dominant performance in the men's 100 meters, winning the conference title in a meet-record and personal-best time of 10.46 seconds. The mark also moved Robinson to No. 15 in the NAIA this season.
In the hurdles,
Bryson Spears earned a runner-up finish in the men's 400 hurdles, clocking a personal-best 52.60 that ranks No. 13 nationally in the NAIA.
Sydney Peck added a third-place finish in the women's race with a personal-best 1:01.97, good for No. 19 nationally.
In the field events,
Mark Church captured the conference title in the discus with a throw of 49.56 meters, ranking No. 17 nationally.
Eamon Monahan added a runner-up finish in the high jump with a personal-best clearance of 2.00 meters, while
Dylan Buss placed third in the javelin with a personal-best 60.66 meters, earning an NAIA "B" standard and moving to No. 16 nationally.
The deciding moment came in the men's 4x400 relay, where
Peter Daniels,
Jayce Bartley,
Reuben Manzer, and
Keaton Moore stormed to a first-place finish in a program and meet-record time of 3:12.31. The performance automatically qualified for the NAIA Championships with an "A" standard and currently ranks No. 9 nationally.
On the women's side, Eastern totaled 163 points to finish conference runner-up, powered by several podium finishes and another strong performance from Lizzy Grandle. Grandle earned CCC Most Valuable Performer honors after scoring 31 cumulative points and was also named Outstanding Field Performer of the meet following her efforts in the heptathlon.
Eastern also saw strong distance performances from
Riley Morris, who placed third in the women's 800 meters in a personal-best 2:13.43 while hitting the NAIA "B" standard, and
Kaleah Hines, who finished third in the women's 5,000 meters in 18:10.73.
Taylor Joyce and
Nora Roscoe led a strong women's sprint group. Joyce placed second in the 100 meters with a personal-best 12.20, while Roscoe finished third in 12.25 for a season best. Roscoe later added another runner-up finish in the 200 meters with a personal-best 24.71.
The women's 4x400 relay team of

Hallee Hisler,
Sydney Peck, and
Nora Roscoe also delivered a first-place finish, crossing in 3:49.26 to move to No. 13 in the NAIA rankings.
Eastern Oregon head coach
Ben Welch was recognized as the CCC Men's Coach of the Year, adding another honor to his extensive list of conference coaching awards across cross country and track & field.
With conference championships secured and national qualifying marks in place, the Mountaineers now turn their attention toward the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships May 20-22 in Asheville, North Carolina.
