LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University closed out Day 1 of the EOU Last Chance Meet with multiple event titles, more records and a surge of national qualifiers as the Mountaineers made their final push toward the NAIA Indoor Championships.

Men's Highlights
Event Winners

• Justin Krabbenhoft won the heptathlon 60 meters in 6.97 seconds. He also claimed victories in the high jump at 1.95 meters and the heptathlon shot put with a mark of 11.68 meters.
• Mark Church won the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 18.77 meters.
• The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Peter Daniels, Keaton Moore, Rueben Manzer, and Osman Osman won the event in 3:16.86.
• The men's 4x800-meter relay team of Thomas Furman, Grady Greenwood, Trevor Nichols, and James Thatcher won in 7:56.80.

Facility Records

• The 4x400 team of Peter Daniels, Keaton Moore, Rueben Manzer, and Osman Osman and Church in the 35-pound weight throw both set new facility records

EOU All-time

• The 4x400 A team now ranks No. 2 all-time at EOU with its 3:16.86 performance, while
• the B team ranks No. 12 at 3:21.90.
• The 4x800 relay time of 7:56.80 ranks No. 4 all-time in program history.
• Krabbenhoft's 6.97 in the 60 meters moves him to No. 8 on the EOU all-time list.
• Cody White ranks No. 23 all-time in the 35-pound weight throw with a mark of 14.53 meters.

National qualifying marks were secured by the men's 4x800 relay, the 4x400 A team, and Church in the weight throw.

Women's Highlights
Event Winners

• Sydney Peck won the pentathlon 60-meter hurdles in 8.90 seconds and later won the 800 meters in 2:24.27.
• Kaliyah Chronister won the pentathlon long jump with a mark of 5.42 meters.
• Lizzy Grandle won the pentathlon title with 3,421 points.
• The women's 4x800-meter relay team of Kennedy Taylor, Carlee Jensen, Mattie Woodbury, and Riley Morris won in 9:29.45.

Facility Records

• The women's 4x800 relay and the pentathlon both produced new facility records.

EOU All-Time

• The 4x800 relay time of 9:29.45 ranks No. 3 all-time at EOU.
• Chronister ranks No. 12 all-time in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.41.
• Norah Brooks ranks No. 12 in the 20-pound weight throw at 14.68 meters.
• Grandle ranks No. 7 all-time in the shot put with a mark of 12.45 meters.
• Peck is tied for No. 15 all-time in the long jump at 5.05 meters.
• In the pentathlon all-time rankings, Chronister sits No. 5 with 3,292 points, Peck is No. 9 with 3,113 points, and Naiya ranks No. 23 with 2,247 points.

The women's 4x800-meter relay qualified for nationals with its performance.In the pentathlon, Lizzy Grandle currently ranks No. 4 on the NAIA list, and Kaliyah Chronister sits No. 14, with the top 16 after the weekend earning automatic qualification for nationals.
