MOSCOW, Idaho – Eastern Oregon University Men's and Women's Track & Field opened the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open with an impressive Day One performance, highlighted by a national-leading effort from
Justin Krabbenhoft and a wave of personal bests across distance and field events.
Men's Highlights
- Justin Krabbenhoft delivered a dominant performance to win the Men's Heptathlon with 5,465 points, earning the No. 1 NAIA national ranking and moving to No. 2 on EOU's all-time list. Krabbenhoft qualified for nationals and claimed victories in three events:
- 60m Hurdles – 8.38
- High Jump – 2.03m
- Pole Vault – 4.40m
- He also placed second in the 60m Dash with a time of 7.04.
- Cristian Mendoza placed 9th in the 3000m, running a personal best 8:31.48, which ranks No. 8 all-time at EOU.
- Thomas Ogden finished 19th in the 3000m with a time of 8:47.31, ranking 23rd on EOU's all-time list.
- TJ Lynch placed 3rd in the Pole Vault, clearing 4.45m, tying for No. 19 all-time at EOU.
- Mark Church improved his season-best in the 35lb Weight Throw, posting a mark of 18.16m as he continues to close in on the automatic standard.
Women's Highlights
- Riley Morris claimed victory in the 1000m, finishing in 2:57.53 to hit the B standard. Her time was just shy of her school-record performance at last year's national championships and included a win over a Washington State competitor.
- Kaleah Hines placed 8th in the 3000m with a time of 10:32.08, moving to No. 10 all-time at EOU.
- Mattie Woodbury finished the 3000m in 11:00.78, ranking No. 20 all-time at EOU.
- Taylor Redick followed closely in the 3000m, running 11:10.06 to move into No. 23 on EOU's all-time list.
- Carlee Jensen placed 13th in the 1000m with a time of 3:08.38, ranking No. 11 all-time at EOU.
- Kennedy Taylor finished 17th in the 1000m, clocking 3:10.54, good for No. 13 all-time at EOU.
Eastern Oregon looks to carry the momentum into Day Two of competition as multiple Mountaineers continue their push toward national qualifying marks.
