LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University senior Tanner Nett has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Nett, a thrower from Boise, Idaho, delivered an outstanding performance at the Lew Thorne Invite over the weekend. He secured the top mark in the shot put with a throw of 17.04 meters, achieving an NAIA "A" Standard. His mark currently ranks No. 4 in the nation this season. Additionally, Nett improved his own school record in the indoor shot put by one centimeter.

With this recognition, Nett becomes the second Mountaineer to receive the honor this season, joining Justin Krabbenhoft, who earned the award on January 27.

The Mountaineers now turn their attention to the Last Chance Invite, which they will host next weekend at the EOU Fieldhouse.
