LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon men's and women's track and field opened the indoor season on Saturday by hosting the "Beat the Freeze Up" Invite inside the EOU Fieldhouse.
Freshman
Keaton Moore delivered the headline performance, tying the school record in the 60m dash (6.83) while also setting a new EOU Fieldhouse record. The Mountaineers added three national "B" standard marks and numerous top finishes to kick off the season in strong fashion.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Keaton Moore dominated his collegiate debut, winning the 60m dash in 6.83 to tie the program record and set the facility mark.
- Peter Daniels placed second in the 60m (7.04), ranking No. 10 all-time at EOU.
- Bryson Spears finished third in the 60m hurdles with an impressive 8.75.
- Pole Vault Sweep:
- The 4x400m relay team of Reuben Manzer, Osman Osman, Moore, and Daniels took first with a national qualifying mark of 3:22.87.
- Mark Church claimed first in the weight throw, landing the final "B" standard of the meet at 17.89m (58' 8.5").
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Nora Roscoe won the 60m dash in 7.75, the second-fastest time in EOU history.
- In the 1000m, Carlee Jensen placed third (3:15.80) and Kennedy Taylor finished fourth (3:18.60).
- Aliviah Mode took second in the 60m hurdles (9.70), earning a spot on EOU's top-25 list.
- Joyce matched her indoor PR in the pole vault at 3.15m (10' 4"), placing fourth.
- Long Jump Standouts:
- Kaliyah Chronsiter – 5.51m (18' 1") – first place and a top-25 mark
- Hallee Hisler – 5.04m (16' 6.5") – fourth place and a top-25 mark
- Celia James (Northwest Nazarene, NCAA DII) set a new facility record in the 400m, winning in 59.55.
