CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced it's Track and Field Athletes of the Year on Thursday, with Eastern Oregon University's TJ Davis named the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Rize Laboratory Track and Field Men's Athlete of the Year.
Athletes were nominated and voted on by the head track and field coaches in the conference.
Hailing from Sandpoint, Idaho, Davis has collected several accolades so far this season, including being named USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year, NAIA All-American, as well as two-time CCC Field Athlete of the Weekend.
The graduate student had an impressive year after missing the last season due to multiple injuries. Davis rose back to the top, winning the 2024 NAIA Decathlon and setting a personal record with 7231 points. Davis was also able to capture the 2024 CCC Multi-Event and 110-meter hurdle titles, while placing third in the 400-meter hurdles. His efforts helped lead the Mounties to their fourth straight conference championship.
