EUGENE, Ore. – Mountaineers Track & Field had a pair of athletes in action Friday evening at the prestigious Oregon Twilight. Competing for Eastern Oregon was
TJ Davis and
Darrian Walker.
Davis had a solid day in both the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. He finished in the top-five in both events, with his best finish being in the 400 hurdles. He was second in the one-lap obstacle race with a time of 55.09. In the 110 hurdles, Davis clocked a 14.72 and placed fourth in his section of the race.
Walker was entered in the pole vault, but ultimately no-heighted in the event. The Mountaineers will have the rest of the team in action tomorrow, May 7, at a pair of meets. A majority of athletes will compete at the Linfield Open which will begin at 10 a.m. A handful of runners will compete at the Portland Twilight, which will begin at 3:30 p.m.
