KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA announced late Monday afternoon its 2022 multi-event qualifiers for the NAIA Outdoor National Track & Field Championships. Eastern Oregon University had two athletes qualify in the decathlon.
Making the final list of 16 athletes is
TJ Davis and
Judson Mansfield. Davis enters the National Championships ranked second in the event with 7,101 points. The junior won the NAIA Indoor National Championship this year in the heptathlon and has been ranked in the top-two the entire outdoor season for the decathlon.
Mansfield is ranked 15th in the decathlon entering Nationals with 6,154 points. He has been in the top-16 for the NAIA the majority of the season. His point total, along with Davis, was secured at the CCC Multi-Event Championships back in late April.
The NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Sports Commission will take place at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium at Gulf Shores Sportsplex in Gulf Shores, Ala. Mary 25-27.
The final qualifiers for the event will be announced on Friday, May 20 at 8 a.m. PT/10 a.m. CT on naia.org.
