This Week in Mountaineer Athletics: April 6th - 12th

LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon Athletics will host a handful of baseball and softball doubleheaders this week, while the other spring sports will be on the road across the Pacific Northwest. 


Tuesday, April 7th

Baseball at Whitman College (Wash.)

6:00 PM | Walla Walla, Wash. 

Quick Notes:

  • Eastern is traveling to Walla Walla for a non-conference contest against NCAA Division-III Whitman. Last season, EOU split with Whitman taking game one 12-3 in La Grande and was ousted in Walla Walla 9-10. 

  • Mario Landeros is now the all-time leader in career hits for the Mounties.

  • Raygun Klippert is now the all-time career leader in stolen bases as a sophomore.

Quick Notes:

  • Nick Robinson, Peter Daniels, Keaton Moore, and James Connally smashed a four-year-old record in their debut competition together in the 4x100m, finishing in 41.12. 

  • Individually, Sara McKen placed 7th in the 100m with a time of 12.04, breaking a record that had been set in 2021.
