LA GRANDE, Ore. — No. 1 Eastern Oregon University Volleyball returns to Quinn Coliseum for another weekend of Cascade Collegiate Conference action, while Football returns to Community Stadium for East-West Division crossover play. Both (RV) Soccer programs also hit the road for their second weekend of CCC competition. 

Friday, September 25
(RV) Women's Soccer opens the weekend on the road in Salem, Oregon, taking on the Warriors of Corban University at 4:30 p.m. The Mounties enter the matchup after a 2-0 opening weekend in Cascade Conference play, shutting out Walla Walla 6-0 and Warner Pacific 1-0 to move to 6-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the CCC. Against Walla Walla, freshman Karydn Martinez recorded a hat trick, marking the first three-goal performance by a Mountie since 2021. Corban enters at 3-3-1 overall after defeating Providence 3-1 in its conference opener. Since the early 2000s, EOU holds an 11-8-3 record against the Warriors, with its last loss coming in 2014. Last season, the Mounties defeated Corban 1-0 at home behind a second-half goal from Jocelyn Sizemore while outshooting the Warriors 23-2.

The (RV) Men's Soccer team follows at approximately 7:00 p.m. EOU enters conference play with a 1-0 record after an intense 2-1 upset of No. 25 Warner Pacific, bringing the Mounties to 1-1-2 overall. Corban is 0-1 in CCC play following a 0-1 loss to Providence and sits at 3-1 overall, with preseason wins over Pacific, Pacific Union and Lewis & Clark College. EOU holds a 3-7-2 all-time record against the Warriors. The teams played to a 0-0 draw last season despite the Mounties dominating nearly every statistical category.

No. 1 Volleyball returns to La Grande to host No. 11 Lewis-Clark State College at 6:00 p.m. The Mounties remain undefeated after earning 3-1 victories over (RV) Bushnell and No. 6 Corban last weekend, improving to 17-0 overall and 6-0 in CCC play. EOU won both meetings with Lewis-Clark State last season, defeating the then-No. 17/No. 12 Warriors 3-1 on the road (21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14) before completing the season sweep with a 3-0 victory at home (25-18, 25-17, 25-21).

Reminder — it's Pajamas Night! Come dressed in your comfiest PJs for a fun night at Quinn Coliseum. It's also Grandparents Night, so grandparents are encouraged to bring their grandchildren for an exciting night of Mountie volleyball. Kids arriving with their grandparents will receive free admission, and a photo station will be available to capture some memorable moments. 

Saturday, September 26
Football kicks off Saturday's action at 1:00 p.m. when the Mountaineers host MSU-Northern in a Frontier East-West Division crossover matchup. EOU enters after a 46-39 win over Valley City State University in its first crossover game last weekend, moving to 2-1 on the season. The Mounties have also collected two Player of the Week honors so far this season, with Kallen Gutridge earning an offensive honor and Monte Pettichord receiving a defensive honor.
The Northern Lights enter at 0-4 following a 14-59 loss to No. 4 College of Idaho. EOU looks for redemption after last season's 7-23 loss in Montana, while holding a 20-8 all-time record against MSU-Northern.

(RV) Women's Soccer continues its road trip at 4:30 p.m. against Bushnell University. The Beacons are 0-1 in CCC play after falling 0-2 to Providence and enter the matchup at 1-2-2 overall. Their preseason results included a win over Linfield and ties against Simpson and Pacific Union. EOU holds a 15-3 all-time record against Bushnell dating back to 2009. Last season, the Mounties defeated the Beacons 3-0 at home, with second-half goals from Ashley Smith, Ava Henkemeyer and Holly Dorhauer.

The (RV) Men's Soccer team follows at approximately 7:00 p.m. against Bushnell. The Beacons are off to a 1-0 start in conference play after defeating Providence 5-0 and enter at 5-0-2 overall. Bushnell's preseason results included wins over Simpson, Lincoln (Calif.), Pacific and Pacific Union, along with ties against George Fox and Stanton. EOU holds a 9-1-1 all-time record against the Beacons. The Mounties defeated Bushnell 3-0 at home last season before playing to a 1-1 draw in the CCC Tournament, ultimately falling 3-1 in a shootout. EOU's last loss to the Beacons came in 2019.

No.1 Volleyball closes out the weekend at Quinn Coliseum, hosting Walla Walla University at 8:00 p.m. The Wolves enter after a 2-0 weekend that included a 3-2 win over Northwest and a 3-0 sweep of Evergreen, moving to 3-5 overall and 3-3 in CCC play.
EOU is 28-0 all-time against Walla Walla. The Mounties swept both regular-season meetings last season, winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-13) and 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-19), before reverse sweeping the Wolves in the CCC Tournament semifinals, 21-25, 18-25, 25-15, 25-20, 15-8, to advance to the championship match.
