Eastern Oregon jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Mario Landeros homered to right field, driving in Trevor Baker. The Mountaineers extended their lead with a five-run fourth inning highlighted by a two-run homer from Baker and a two-RBI triple by Greyson McDaniel.
Lewis-Clark State responded with a barrage of home runs to take control of the game. Noah Weintraub tied the game with a two-run shot in the fourth before the Warriors erupted for six runs in the sixth, powered by homers from Abe Affholter, Ike George, and Charlie Updegrave.
Despite solo home runs by Danny Burns in the seventh and Baker in the eighth, Eastern Oregon couldn't close the gap. Baker led the Mountaineers with three hits, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Landeros also went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

GAME TWO
Eastern Oregon bounced back in game two of its doubleheader against Lewis-Clark State, earning an 11-9 victory over the Warriors.
Eastern Oregon used a balanced offensive attack to secure the win, led by Mario Landeros, who went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a two-run homer in the first inning to give the Mountaineers an early lead. Trevor Baker brought Brandon Taddy home with an RBI single in the second, and two runs scored in the third after the Mounties were hit by pitches with the bases loaded.
