CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second consecutive week, Eastern Oregon University student-athletes have earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors, with Brooke Womack being named the CCC Attacker of the Week in volleyball and Holly Dorhauer earning Defensive Player of the Week honors in women's soccer. 

Volleyball Attacker of the Week
A returning NAIA All-Tournament selection and CCC First Team All-Conference honoree, senior outside hitter Brooke Womack powered the Mounties' offense to a perfect 3-0 week, helping No. 2 Eastern Oregon improve to 11-0 in the preseason. Womack recorded 37 kills across 10 sets while hitting an impressive .326, averaging 3.70 kills and 4.0 points per set.

Womack opened the weekend against No. 15 The Master's with 14 kills and 15 digs for a double-double before delivering another strong offensive performance against Dickinson State, recording 15 kills while hitting .500. In the third set against DSU, Womack sparked the Mounties' final comeback with five consecutive kills, putting EOU back in front and helping the Mounties secure the set by two points. She added eight kills in the weekend finale against Montana Western.

Throughout the three matches, Womack also contributed 28 digs, three block assists and two service aces while committing just seven attack errors.

Womack and the No. 2-ranked Mounties now turn their attention to conference play, opening Cascade Collegiate Conference action against The Evergreen State College on Friday before facing Northwest University on Saturday.

Women's Soccer Defender of the Week
Sophomore defender Holly Dorhauer anchored the Mountaineers' back line during EOU's first week of countable competition, playing all 180 minutes across a pair of 1-0 shutout victories. Dorhauer played a key role in limiting Pacific University to just one shot throughout EOU's season-opening victory, helping the Mountaineers control the defensive end and protect an early lead. She followed that performance with another complete 90-minute effort against Saint Martin's, helping hold the Saints to seven total shots, including just five on goal, as EOU secured its second consecutive 1-0 victory.

Beyond her defensive contributions, Dorhauer also made an impact on the attack against Saint Martin's, delivering the game-winning assist to help the Mountaineers find the back of the net and secure the victory.

Dorhauer and the Mountaineers continue their preseason this week with a three-game road trip to Tennessee. EOU will face Cumberland (Tenn.) on Wednesday, UT Southern on Saturday and close out the trip against Bethel (Tenn.) on Monday.
