KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon Softball checked in at No. 4 in the latest NAIA Softball Top 25 Poll, earning 464 points.
Since the previous poll, the Mountaineers have posted a 6-2 record, highlighted by a hard-fought series against College of Idaho. The Yotes handed Eastern its first series loss of the season (2-1), though the Mounties responded with two wins in the latter half of the matchup. Eastern also picked up a pair of wins against both Pacific University and Western Oregon in nonconference play.
The Mountaineers continue to pace the conference offensively, leading in on-base percentage (.451), slugging percentage (.556), and home runs (16). They rank second in batting average (.356) and hit-by-pitches (10), underscoring one of the most productive lineups in the conference.
Individually,
Lexi Grumbois leads the conference with a .447 batting average and ranks fourth in RBIs (32).
Hope Burke sits second in home runs with nine, while
Raygun Klippert leads the conference with 25 stolen bases.
Eastern Oregon remains one of five Cascade Collegiate Conference teams represented in the poll. Oregon Tech moved into the top spot with 481 points, while Southern Oregon slipped to No. 5 with 455 points. College of Idaho and British Columbia also received votes.
