GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Eastern Oregon University softball student-athletes earned recognition on the
2025-26 Academic All-District Team, announced Tuesday morning by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honor recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field, with all selections maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA while competing in the majority of their team's games.
The Mountaineers' honorees are
Kelly Monaghan,
Emily Barry, and
Maliyah Mann.
Monaghan, a senior from Battle Ground, Washington, was a key leader in center field for Eastern Oregon. She started 52 games this season and recorded 67 putouts while helping anchor the Mountaineer outfield. At the plate, Monaghan tallied seven doubles, one triple, four home runs, and 34 RBIs, while adding 14 walks and 11 hit-by-pitches. She finished the season with a .424 slugging percentage and a .377 on-base percentage.
Barry, a senior from Gig Harbor, Washington, provided consistency at first base, starting 53 games for the Mountaineers. Defensively, she totaled 329 putouts and 10 assists. Offensively, Barry recorded nine doubles, six home runs, and 38 RBIs, while drawing 15 walks and being hit by five pitches. She posted a .500 slugging percentage and a .372 on-base percentage.
Mann, a sophomore from Spokane Valley, Washington, played a major role in Eastern Oregon's pitching staff. She threw 105.1 innings this season and compiled a 16-1 record in the circle. Mann held opponents to a .210 batting average while striking out 107 batters, finishing among the conference's top five in both wins and strikeouts.
The Academic All-District Teams are selected by College Sports Communicators who recognize the nation's top student-athletes across four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA – for each gender.
