Mounties Picked Third in CCC Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University men's and women's cross country teams were both picked third in the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, announced Friday.

After a runner-up performance at the conference championships and an 11th-place finish at nationals last year, the men received a total of 116 points and two first-place votes. They land behind top-ranked Corban University (128 points, 5 first-place votes) and reigning national champion College of Idaho (125 points, 5 first-place votes).

The women, who were fourth at CCC's and 25th at nationals in 2024, rank behind C of I (141 points, ten first-place votes) and Lewis-Clark State College (123 points, two first-place votes) with 118 points of their own.

Both programs are set to make their return to the course on Friday, September 19 at the Northwest Nazarene Invite in Nampa, Idaho. Conference championships will occur on Friday, November 7 in Salem, Oregon, with NAIA's to follow two weeks later in Tallahassee, Florida.
