CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University senior pitcher Kylie Parsons has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday. It marks the second time this season the No. 11-ranked Mountaineers standout has received the honor.
Parsons, a native of Pendleton, Ore., was dominant in the circle during EOU's weekend series against College of Idaho. The right-hander allowed just two earned runs over 14 innings of work, finishing the series with a 1.00 ERA, a 0.64 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts.
On the season, Parsons owns the third-best ERA in the CCC at 1.65 and has recorded 65 strikeouts.
Eastern Oregon (ranked No. 11 in the latest NAIA poll) continues conference play this week as the Mountaineers takes on Carroll College this weekend at Peggy Anderson Field.
