Softball Rises to No. 11 in Recent National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon University softball continued its ascent in the national rankings, rising to No. 11 in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday by the national office.

The Mountaineers (18-3, 14-1 CCC) have been dominant in recent weeks, riding a 15-game winning streak to establish themselves as a top contender in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

The CCC remained well-represented in the latest rankings, with four teams securing spots in the poll. Defending national champion Southern Oregon University retained the No. 1 ranking with all 19 first-place votes, while Oregon Tech followed closely at No. 2. Eastern Oregon climbed to No. 11, and College of Idaho rounded out the group at No. 20.

Eastern Oregon will put its winning streak on the line this weekend as the Mounties travel to Caldwell, Idaho, for a key conference matchup against rival College of Idaho on Friday.
