No. 13 Eastern Oregon Softball Splits Friday Doubleheader with Bushnell

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The No. 13-ranked Eastern Oregon softball team earned a dominant 10-0 win in game one, but fell 3-0 in game two against Bushnell on Friday at Rich Schwab Field.

Game One: Eastern Oregon 10, Bushnell 0

The Mountaineers' offense exploded for 10 runs in five innings, powered by a strong performance from pitcher Kylie Parsons (11-0), who allowed just three hits and struck out 11 in a complete-game shutout. Eastern Oregon took control early with a nine-run rally in the second inning. Madison Olson led the charge with a 2-for-3 performance, driving in four RBIs, while Haley Tyree's inside-the-park home run added to the Mountaineers' dominant performance.

Eastern Oregon sealed the victory with a solo home run from Tyree in the fifth inning, making it 10-0. Kelly Monaghan also contributed with an RBI single in the second inning.

Game Two: Bushnell 3, Eastern Oregon 0

In the second game, Bushnell came out on top, shutting out the Mountaineers 3-0. Emily Cole (6-12) pitched a complete-game shutout for the Beacons, holding Eastern Oregon to just four hits.
