LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon University had six student-athletes named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, as announced by College Sports Communicators. The honor recognizes student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Representing the EOU men's basketball team are TJ Doman, Jaden Hansen, and Malachi Afework, while the Mountaineer women's team boasts honorees Kelsie Siegner, Brie Holecek, and Raquel Fehringer. Among them, Doman, Siegner, and Holecek earned special recognition as Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes outstanding student-athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the national ballot, where CSC members will vote to determine first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® selections.

The final Academic All-America® teams will be announced on April 15, 2025 (men) and April 16, 2025 (women).
