Eastern Oregon Men’s Track & Field Ranks No.13 In National Poll; Women Hold At No. 19

LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University Men's track & field team ranked No. 13 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NAIA poll. The Mountaineers' women's team remained  at No. 19 spot in the latest rankings.

Both teams wrapped up their final invitational of the year this past weekend at the EOU last chance Meet here in La Grande, and now are prepping for NAIA Indoor National Championships in Gainesville, Florida. Each squad found themselves ranked in multiple events along with some top 10 finishes, including a second-place ranking in the high jump on the men's side and an eighth-place finish for the women in the 1000 and 600 meters.

#7 - Men's 600 Meters
#8 - Men's 1000 Meters
#8 - Men's 3000 Meters
#9 - Men's Long Jump
#10 - Men's 5000 Meters
#10 - Men's Pole Vault

#8 - Women's 1000 Meters
#10 - Women's 60 Meter Hurdles
#8 - Women's 600 Meters

The NAIA Indoor National Championships will kick off in Gainesville on February 27th - March 1st lasting all day at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center.
