KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Eastern Oregon University men's and women's cross country teams have officially qualified for the 2025 NAIA National Championships, as announced during Tuesday afternoon's national field reveal.
The No. 10-ranked Mountaineer men and No. 16-ranked women both turned in standout performances at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships last weekend in Independence, Oregon. The men captured the conference title to secure an automatic bid, while the women placed third overall. Following today's selection show, the final national poll moved the EOU men to No. 6 and the women to No. 18—earning the women an at-large berth and confirming both teams' status among the nation's elite heading into championship week.
The 2025 NAIA Cross Country National Championships will be held Friday, November 21, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida. The women's 6K is set for 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the men's 8K at 9:30 a.m. ET. Live coverage will be available on
Urban Edge Network and the NAIA Network, with live results provided by
PrimeTime Timing. The awards ceremony will begin at approximately 11 a.m. ET, following final results certification and the close of the appeals window.
Last season, the EOU men placed 11th nationally, while the women finished 25th, led by All-American
Justin Ash and returning junior
Kaleah Hines. Both programs bring back a solid core of runners with experience on the national stage, including
Grady Greenwood,
Thomas Ogden,
Trevor Nichols,
Kiah Carlson,
Sadie McCoy,
Mattie Woodbury, and
Riley Morris.
Several other Cascade Collegiate Conference programs will also compete in Tallahassee, including the women of Lewis-Clark State, the men of Trinity Western and Corban, and both squads from the College of Idaho and Southern Oregon. The Mounties will also go up against a handful of individual qualifiers from Northwest, Walla Walla, Evergreen State (Wash.), and Oregon Tech.
