KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Eastern Oregon University women's cross country team will enter the 2026 season ranked No. 20 nationally in the
2026 NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 224 points.
The Mountaineers finished third at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships last season, with two runners earning All-Conference honors. Eastern Oregon then advanced to the NAIA National Championships, where the team placed 22nd.
Riley Morris capped her senior season by earning All-American honors. The Mountaineers will look to build on last season's accomplishments while returning several key standouts and adding new talent to replace members of the graduating class.
The Cascade Conference was again well represented in the women's preseason poll. College of Idaho was ranked No. 4 and received a first-place vote, Southern Oregon was No. 10, Lewis-Clark State was No. 21, and Trinity Western received votes.
Eastern Oregon will open the 2026 season on Sept. 18 at the Northwest Nazarene Invitational.
