CORVALLIS, Ore. - EOU Women's Soccer enters the fall ranked second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference receiving one first place vote and 144 points in the preseason poll. Trailing just College of Idaho, the Mounties are closely followed by Carroll College and Northwest University.
Eastern Oregon ended last season with a 10-4-4 overall record and will be led by returning Champion of Character and First Team All-Conference selection Darby McDevitt. Head Coach Josh Goodman returns for his second season with a loaded roster of 21 returners and 12 newcomers. Last season, the Mountaineers defeated Oregon Tech in the CCC quarterfinals by penalty kicks before eventually falling to Northwest in the semifinals.
The Mounties will return to Community Stadium on August 23th when they face Walla Walla University, followed by a pair of road matches against NCAA Division II opponents Northwest Nazarene University and Westminster University on August 29th and September 1st. EOU will then cap off their preseason schedule with matches against Whitman College and University of California, Merced.
