Eastern Oregon Secures 1-0 Win Over Multnomah

LA GRANDE, Ore. — The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers earned a narrow 1-0 victory over Multnomah in a Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup at Community Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Mountaineers dominated the first half, outshooting the Lions 12-0. EOU's Grace Schafer found the back of the net in the 35th minute for her third goal of the season, providing the lone score of the match. Schafer led the Mounties with three total shots, two on target, while Peyton Jacaway added five shots with two on goal.

In the second half, Multnomah increased its offensive pressure, taking all three of its shots, but EOU's goalkeeper Rylee Schei stood firm, recording three saves to preserve her shutout. Multnomah's goalkeeper Jennifer Alvillar made four saves, keeping the Lions in contention despite the Mounties' 15 total shots.
