KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Demonstrating as much commitment in the classroom as on the field and court, Eastern Oregon University is thrilled to announce that 14 of its athletic programs have been honored with the prestigious NAIA Scholar Team Awards for the 2022-23 year.
This recognition showcases the dedication of EOU's student-athletes to not only their respective sports but also their commitment to academic success. The university is immensely proud of the balance and determination these students exhibit daily.

- Women's Volleyball: 3.47
- Women's Outdoor Track & Field: 3.39
- Women's Indoor Track & Field: 3.38
- Women's Soccer: 3.38
- Softball: 3.34
- Men's Wrestling: 3.31

- Baseball: 3.23
- Women's Lacrosse: 3.18

Eastern Oregon University continues to set the standard for merging athletic and academic achievements. These GPAs are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes, the guidance of their coaches, and the support of the academic faculty.
The NAIA Scholar Team Award is given to athletic programs that have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. It celebrates the balance of academic and athletic commitments and salutes the teams that excel in both areas.
