CLEVELAND, Ohio – Following an impressive year across all sports, Eastern Oregon University finished 19th in the 2026 NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup standings.
Points within the Directors' Cup are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA fall, winter, and spring championships. Eastern Oregon has amassed a total of 615 points to end the 2025-26 school year. Eastern accrued the most points during winter with a total of 250.50 points.
Individually, softball led the charge with 57 total points for EOU Athletics. Mountie softball ended the year ranked No.13 in the country and with an at-large to NAIA Opening rounds. Eastern bowed out in the opening round championship to Mobile.
Women's Track and Field accumulated 45 points throughout the spring season. Eastern Oregon capped off an impressive season with a second-place finish at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships. The Mountaineers then went on to capture a national championship, as Oregon native Lizzy Grandle claimed the heptathlon title. Riley Morris also earned All-American honors.
Men's Track and Field recently claimed the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship. Eastern also had a handful of All-Americans, with Mark Church leading the way by placing 18th in the discus. Together, the Mountaineers accumulated 21.5 points, contributing to a strong overall finish at the national meet.
