DES MOINES, Iowa.- The Mounties were back in action Saturday as they traveled to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the Grandview Open. Eastern had a strong showing with four wrestlers reaching the podium.

The highest placer of the day for the Mountaineers was Irma Retano from the 116 pound silver division. Retano went 3-1 on the day on her way to a third place finish in the division. Retano finished out her day with a pin over Snow College's Lexus Bertagnolli at the 2:26 mark of the match.

Eastern Oregon will be back in action at home as they will host the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 26th.
