LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University took down the visiting Knights of Warner Pacific in an offensive fire fight Friday night. The Mounties were able to pull away thanks to some hot shooting and a 27-point performance from
Emmit Taylor III. Eastern took a 102- 83 win to move to 6-4 on the year. With the loss Warner Pacific drops to 6-3.
Both offenses came out hot and maintained efficient attacks throughout the entire evening although it was Eastern who took advantage of some extra looks to pull away. Warner Pacific shot a scolding 54.5% from three on the evening and 50.9% from the field to Eastern's 42.3% and 59.7% respectively. The difference maker ended up being the extra shots in the first half as the Mounties were able to put up eight more shots thanks to five offensive rebounds and three
Malachi Afework steals. The Mountaineers' 17-point lead at the half carried them to the end as they were only able to add two points onto that lead by the time all was said and done.
