CORVALLIS, Ore.- EOU's Women Soccer's very own, Darby McDevitt, takes CCC Rize Laboratory Defensive Player of the Week after a great performance last weekend. McDevitt's efforts propelled the Mounties to a 2-0 weekend. McDevitt helped the Mounties post another scoreless weekend as they took a 6-0 victory over the University of Providence (Mont.) then followed with a 2-0 victory over Rocky Mountain College. McDevitt has been an anchor for the Mountaineer defense all season that has posted nine scoreless games through 12 games. 

"Darby has been our most consistent defender all year," Coach Jacob Plocher said. "Her ability to win challenges and keep us organized has been vital to our success so far this season." Coach Plocher said. 

McDevitt and the Mountaineers will look to continue their success as they continue Cascade Collegiate Conference play. EOU will travel to Ashland, Ore. to take on the Raiders of Southern Oregon University on Friday, Oct. 14. Kick off is set for 12:00 p.m.
