Mounties Fall in Double Overtime to No. 6 College of Idaho in CCC Championship

MEDFORD, Ore. – The RV Eastern Oregon women's soccer team's impressive conference tournament run wrapped up Wednesday afternoon, as the Mounties fell 1–0 in double overtime to the No. 6 College of Idaho in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament championship match at Lithia & Driveway Fields.

Both teams battled through 108 minutes of physical, back-and-forth play before the Yotes broke through with the game-winner.

In the 109th minute, College of Idaho's Kyndra Lyons converted a direct free kick from 30 yards out, lofting it into the far post for the lone goal of the match.

Eastern (14-5-2) held strong throughout regulation, limiting the Yotes' attack and creating opportunities of its own. The Mounties recorded seven shots and six corner kicks, while the Yotes tallied 11 shots and just one corner.

Goalkeeper Madeline Barker anchored the Mountie defense with four saves over 108 minutes of action, while Alivia Brenchley made three saves to preserve the shutout for College of Idaho (17-2-0).

Peyton Jacaway
, Karina DeYoung, and Macy Reed each led the Mounties with a shot on goal.

Despite the loss, Eastern's postseason story continues. By reaching the conference final, the Mounties secured an at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament, marking their first national appearance since 2020.

EOU now awaits its seeding and site assignment for the opening round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, set to begin on Nov. 20.
