Former Eastern Oregon Standout Erika Skindlov Goes Pro in New Zealand

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Former Eastern Oregon University women's soccer standout Erika Skindlov is taking the next step in her career, signing her first professional contract with Eastern Suburbs AFC based in Kohimarama, Auckland, New Zealand.

Skindlov built an impressive collegiate career with the Mountaineers from 2019 to 2023. During her five seasons with the program, she became a consistent presence on the field, appearing in 88 matches and starting 76. Her durability and work rate helped her log 5,359 minutes, while contributing 19 goals and 14 assists for 52 total points. 

Known for her composure in key moments, Skindlov was perfect from the penalty spot, converting all three of her attempts during her career. She also finished with a 0.514 shots-on-goal percentage, reflecting her efficiency as an attacking threat.

Her performance on the field earned her multiple honors, including First Team and Second Team All-Conference recognition. Off the field, she also collected several academic awards, highlighting her commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the pitch.

Skindlov leaves Eastern Oregon firmly etched in the Mountaineer record books. Among her notable marks:

A versatile attacking player, Skindlov developed into a dynamic forward and midfielder during her time in La Grande. Comfortable operating between the lines or leading the attack, she combines technical skill, physical presence, and a sharp eye for goal. Those qualities helped shape her into one of the Mountaineers' most reliable offensive threats and ultimately opened the door to the professional ranks.

Now heading to Auckland, Skindlov begins the next chapter of her soccer journey, bringing the experience and determination she built at Eastern Oregon to the professional stage with Eastern Suburbs AFC.
