KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon University received votes in the first regular-season edition of the STADIONIC NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced Tuesday morning.

The Mounties opened the 2026 season with a 2-0 record, earning a pair of 1-0 victories over NCAA opponents. EOU opened the season with a shutout win over NCAA Division III Pacific University, holding the Boxers to just one total shot. The Mounties followed with another 1-0 victory over NCAA Division II Saint Martin's University, outshooting the Saints 11-7. Goalkeeper Elysa Morse came up with five saves to preserve the shutout and secure EOU's second win of the season.

Following their first week of countable play, sophomore defender Holly Dorhauer was recognized for her standout defensive performances, helping anchor the Mounties to back-to-back shutouts while also recording the game-winning assist against Saint Martin's. Her efforts earned her the first Cascade Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

Eastern Oregon continues its preseason slate in Tennessee, facing No. 20 Cumberland University (Tenn.) this afternoon, RV University of Tennessee Southern on Saturday, and Bethel University on Monday. The Mounties will close out the preseason on Sept. 13 against Stanton University before turning their attention to Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

The next regular-season STADIONIC NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be released Wednesday, September 16.
