LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon University Men's Soccer is back home this weekend as the Mountaineers continue on with conference play against a pair of in-state opponents.

Kickoff
• The Mountaineers (1-4-0, 1-1-0 CCC) will play inside Community Stadium for just the second time this season when they take on Bushnell and No. 23 Corban.
• This weekend's games will be the final two for the Mountaineers at home in September as they will play three straight road games to start the month of October.
• For EOU, they will look to pick up their first win at home this season and second overall.

EOU Athletics Spectator Policy
• Spectators will be allowed at EOU sporting events, but masks will be required to be worn correctly (over mouth AND nose) at ALL indoor and outdoor events per state and local policy. This is subject to change at any time.
• Failure to comply with conference or institutional attendance policies will result in removal from venue and any further EOU contests.

• The Mountaineers are coming off their first win of the season after posting a 1-0 shutout at Multnomah this past Saturday.
• With the win, Eastern snapped a four-game skid to start the year.

Last Time Out
• The Mountaineers kicked off CCC play last weekend going 1-1-0 in Portland. Eastern fell to Warner Pacific in its CCC opener before blanking Multnomah for its first win of the season.
• A late first half goal by the Knights was all it took to give them the 1-0 win over the Mountaineers.Â
• Against the Lions, it was the foot of
Kellen Burke that lifted EOU to victory. He scored the gamewinning goal in the 37th minute to give the Mounties a 1-0 win.
Previously Against Bushnell/Corban
• EOU is 4-1-0 in five matches against Bushnell. Bushnell had dropped its four contests against Eastern before securing a 1-0 back in 2019.
• At home, the Mounties are a perfect 3-0-0 against the Beacons. The last home win for EOU came in 2018 with a 2-1 victory over Bushnell.
• The Mountaineers are just 2-5-0 against the Warriors and currently have dropped each of the last three contests against them.
• EOU is 2-2 at home against Corban and the last win against the Warriors came in 2018 with a 2-1 victory inside Community Stadium.
Mountaineers vs. CCC
• All-time, EOU is 35-35-5 against CCC opponents since the program's inception in 2015.
• The Mountaineers have finished with a .500 record or better three times in the program young history
• Eastern has qualified for the CCC Tournament twice (2018, 2019) and had a runner -up finish in 2019.

Scouting the Competition
Bushnell Beacons
• Bushnell enters the weekend with a 1-4-0 overall record and is an even 1-1-0 in conference play. The Beacons lone win came this past Sunday at Walla Walla, 3-2.
• Bushnell currently has scored six goals this year and its offense is averaging 1.20 goals per game. The team is posting 8.2 shots per game and has tallied one assist so far.
• Defensively, the Beacons have surrendered 16 goals to their opponents and are allowing 3.20 goals per game. Opponents average 23.0 shots per game against the Beacons as well.
• Joel Kambou leads the offense with two goals scored for four points. He's taken five shots total and two have come on goal.
• Four other players have scored a goal in Caleb Burke, Josh Ishizaka, Juan Palaciosm and Akiva Wikramaratna. Burke and Wikramaratna each lead the team in shots with six, respectively.
• Kaleb Sabino has the lone assist for the Beacons.Â
• Julian Hernandez has started all five games in net for the Beacons. He has tallied 40 saves and has a save percentage of .714.
Corban Warriors
• The Warriors are one game above .500 at 3-2-0 overall and are off to a 2-0-0 start in conference play. Corban also currently ranks No. 23 in the latest NAIA top-25 coaches' poll.
• The lone non-conference win for Corban is against Willamette, 2-1, while the other two wins, both in CCC play, are against Walla Walla University and Carroll College.
• Offensively, the Warriors have scored 11 goals and average 2.20 per game. They take an average of 15.4 shots per game and have tallied eight assists on the year.Â
• Defensively, Corban has allowed seven goals this year and gives up 1.40 per game. Opponents tally 13.2 shots per game against the Warriors and their defense has racked up 20 total saves.
• Alvaro Arche is the leading scorer with a pair of goals and a pair of assists for six points. He has taken nine shots overall and had three come on goal. His total assists is also tied for the team lead.
• Matheus Giron is tied for the lead in assists at two and has scored one goal for a total of four points. Giron is second on the team in shots taken with 10 and six have come on goal.Â
• Carlos Llamos and Alexis Luna are also tied for the team lead in goals scored with two, respectively.Â
• Nate Sherwood has tallied the most shots with 11 and has scored on goal. Of his 11 shots, seven have come on goal which also leads the team.
• Justin Keegan has started all five games at goalkeeper. He has racked up 20 saves and has a save percentage of .741.Â
