GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six Eastern Oregon University student-athletes have been named to the 2025-2026 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, as announced Tuesday morning by College Sports Communicators (CSC), The honor recognizes their outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
Representing EOU Women's Soccer are
Macy Reed,
Ava Henkemeyer, and
Sydney Peck, while
Jacob Russell,
Henry Lopez, and
Milton Hernandez earned selection from Men's Soccer. All six qualified by competing in the majority of their team's contests and exceeding a required 3.5 GPA threshold.
Reed, a sophomore midfielder from Roy, Utah, majoring in Health & Human Performance, played a pivotal role this season. She led the team with five assists, added two goals for nine total points, and earned Second Team All-Conference honors. Henkemeyer, a sophomore forward from Forest Grove, Oregon, is majoring in Health & Human Performance (pre-Physical Therapy). She contributed four goals—including two game-winners—along with two assists for ten points, also earning Second Team All-Conference recognition. Peck, a senior defender from West Jordan, Utah, studying Rangeland Ecology & Management, anchored a back line that secured eight shutouts and added an assist of her own.
On the men's side, Russell—a sophomore defender from Yakima, Washington, majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies & Elementary Education—captained the Mountaineers through the best season in program history. He collected Defensive Player of the Year, CCC Player of the Week, and Second Team All-Conference honors. Lopez, a junior forward from Van Nuys, California, studying Communication & Media Studies, led the team in his debut season with seven assists and three goals for 13 points, earning CCC Player of the Week and Second Team All-Conference accolades. Hernandez, a senior forward from Heyburn, Idaho, majoring in Business Administration, was another vital offensive contributor, finishing with five goals.
The Academic All-District Teams are selected by College Sports Communicators who recognize the nation's top student-athletes across four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA – for each gender.
All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, and all six EOU athletes have been selected as finalists. Academic All-America selections will be announced December 16, 2025 (Men) and December 17, 2025 (Women).
