KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA released its 2021 Women's Soccer All-America teams and Eastern Oregon University once again had a player make the list.

Earning All-America honors for the Mountaineers is senior defender Sarah Mitchell. The Palmdale, Calif. picked up her second consecutive All-American honor after being named Honorable Mention. Mitchell was a Honorable Mention All-American in 2020 as well.

Mitchell was the anchor on the Mountaineers' defense 2021. She appeared in 14 games and was a starter in 11 of those contests. She played all 90 minutes in multiple contests and was part of a defense that allowed just 15 goals during the season and posted nine shutouts. The Mountaineers nine shutouts were third most in the league during the regular season. For Mitchell, she finishes her EOU career as a two-time All-American. She also is a four-time All-CCC selection with two being as a First Team member (2020 & 2021).
