LA GRANDE, Ore. - No. 13 Eastern Oregon University Volleyball closes out a four-game road trip this weekend with a pair of matches against two out-of-state CCC opponents.

• The Mountaineers (16-5, 11-2 CCC) roll on with the second half of CCC play and will look to stand firm in the top-three of the conference standings.
• Eastern Oregon enters the weekend currently sitting second in the conference standings.
• Following this weekend's matches, EOU will return home to start a five-game homestand, which will be their final one of the season.

• The Mountaineers had their nine-game win streak snapped in a five-set loss to Corban.

Last Time Out
• The Mountaineers went 1-1 to start the second half of CCC play last weekend. EOU fell to then No. 6 Corban, 3-2, before taking down Bushnell 3-1 the next day.
• Against Corban, Eastern outhit the Warriors .200-.177 but a 10-5 edge in service aces was key in the home win for Corban.
• Against Bushnell, EOU barely outhit the Beacons .169-.152. The Mounties had a 10-9 blocks edge with
Cambree Scott leading the charge with 14 kills and six blocks.
Previously Against LC State/Walla Walla
• Earlier this season, the Mountaineers picked up a pair of sweeps against the Warriors and Wolves, respectively.Â
• Against LC State, the Mounties hit .254 and held the Warriors to a .142 attack clip.
Breanna Shaffer led the way with 11 kills and had a pair of blocks to go along with seven digs.
• Against the Wolves, EOU posted a then season-best .333 hitting percentage and held Walla Walla to a negative attack clip of -.074.
• Since 2012, Eastern is 6-0 against LC State with each of the last two matches ending in sweeps. This weekend's match-up will be the first in Lewiston in the series history.
• Since 2010, the Mounties are an impressive 18-0 against the Wolves with a 7-0 mark on the road. Each of the last nine match-ups have ended in straight sets.
EOU in the Polls
• EOU checks in at No. 13 in the fourth edition of the NAIA women's volleyball coaches' top-25 poll.
• In the CCC preseason poll, Eastern was picked to win the conference ahead of Corban and Southern Oregon. The Mountaineers tallied eight first place votes and totaled 140 points.
• The next set of NAIA top-25 rankings will be released next Wednesday, Oct. 27

• Of the Mountaineers' 21 matches so far this season, 12 have ended in straight sets.
• EOU has fared well in three-set matches with a 10-2 record, including a current five-game win streak.

Lewis-Clark State Warriors
• LC State boasts a 11-10 overall record to sit one game above .500 going into the weekend. In CCC play, the Warriors are one game under .500 with a 6-7 mark.
• Offensively, the Warriors are hitting .203 this season and average 12.4 kills per set. They dish out 11.2 assists per set and have 136 service aces this season.
• On defense, LC State is holding opponents to a .157 attack clip and giving up 10.1 kills per set. They average 13.1 digs per set and 1.4 blocks per set.
• Cassidy Nelson is pacing the offense with 194 kills on the year and averages 2.77 per set. She is hitting .132 on the year and has a team-best 24 service aces.
• Tori Edwards is second in kills at 135 . She is hitting .189 on the year and averages 1.96 kills per set.
• Carli Berntson is third in kills at 135. She hits .251 and averages 1.86 kills per set.
• Kenzie Dean is second in service aces with 23 and has 61 assists this season. She leads the team in digs with 327 and averages 4.30 per set to go along with a .943 reception percentage.
• Jess Ruffing is the team leader in assists with 259 and averages 4.99 per set. She also has 14 service aces on the year.
• Second in assists is Hannah Martinez with 351 and averages 5.09 per set. She is third in service aces with 18.
• Jada Wyms is the defensive leader up front with 53 total blocks. She averages 0.76 per set and has had nine solo blocks this season.

Walla Walla Wolves
• The Wolves enter the weekend still in search of their first win of the season as they are 0-14 overall and 0-13 in conference play.
• Offensively, WWU is hitting just .032 on the year and averages just 6.5 kills per set. They have 41 service aces on the year and average 6.0 assists per set.
• Defensively, the Wolves are surrendering a .295 attack clip to the opposition and 13.0 kills per set. They average 11.5 digs per set and 1.1 blocks per set.
• Gabrielle Browning leads the offense with 140 kills this season and averages 3.18 per set. She is hitting .071 this season and is tied for second in service aces with six.
• Meherio Kariner is the team leader in assists with 170 on the year. She averages 3.86 per set and is also the team leader in service aces with nine.
• Browning also leads the front row and back row on defense. She has 105 digs and averages 2.39 per set. Up front, she has 30 total blocks for an average of 0.68 per set.
• Alexandra Widemann is second in digs with 91 and averages just over 2.0 per set at 2.07.Â
