Women’s Wrestling Drops Home Duals vs. Umpqua CC & SOU

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon women's team dropped two duals at home Friday night, falling 33-16 against Umpqua Community College and 42-0 against a tough Southern Oregon squad for the third annual Wagon Wheel at Quinn Coliseum.

Sophomore Madisen Bozovich won the lone match of the night for the Blue and Gold, defeating the Riverhawks' Sienna Lejeune by fall in less than a minute. EOU won its other two matches by forfeit as Dempsi Talkington and Renay Monohan each garnered five points apiece for EOU.

Against Umpqua, the Mounties dropped the first six matches, however, three were by forfeit.

Against Southern Oregon, the Blue and Gold had trouble competing with the tough Raiders, but were also forced to forfeit three matches.

The women's team will be back in action Sunday in Spokane, Washington at the Spokane Open.
