Box Score COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – The Eastern Oregon University softball team stepped out of Cascade Collegiate Conference play Tuesday evening as they traveled to Walla Walla University. Eastern Oregon took game one, 11-2 and lead 12-0 in the top of the fourth inning in game two, which was suspended due to darkness.
The Mountaineers jumped out to an early lead in game one, as they led 5-0 after three innings of play. EOU added to its lead and claimed game one, 11-2.
Eastern Oregon jumped on the Wolves early in game two as EOU scored eight runs in the top of the first inning. EOU continued to add to its lead and after three innings of play EOU led 12-0. However, the game would be suspended due to darkness.
The game will be resumed on Sunday, April 6, when Walla Walla travels to La Grande for a doubleheader.
The Mountaineers return to action on Friday, April 4 when they host Concordia in CCC action. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
