Home Opener
Eastern Oregon University opens up its home schedule tomorrow when they host Lewis & Clark College Pioneers at Peggy Anderson Softball Field.

Busy Week at Home
Besides opening up its home schedule on Monday, the Mountaineers will be playing at home on Tuesday and Friday and Saturday. Last season the Mountaineers were 5-9 at Peggy Anderson Softball Field.

Non-Conference Action
On Monday, the Mountaineers step out of CCC action when they host Lewis & Clark College. Eastern Oregon will also jump out of conference play on Wednesday, March  26 when they travel to Spokane, Wash. to face Whitworth. Both of those teams are NCAA Division III Members

Quick Glance at the Opponents
Lewis & Clark

The Pioneers of Lewis & Clark enter the game with a 5-11 record and on a five game losing streak. In its last game on March 16, the Pioneers were swept in a double header by Pacific Lutheran. As a team the Pioneers are hitting .279, led by Hannah Dal pra, who is hitting .396 on the season and has appeared in every game for Lewis & Clark. Dal Pra leds the team with two home runs and is tied for team lead in RBIs. On the mound Madison Hollenbeck leads the team with 57 innings pitched and an ERA of 5.04.
College of Idaho
The Yotes of College of Idaho come into this week's midweek contest with an 12-8 record and a 4-4 record in the CCC. The Yotes were swept last weekend by Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon, which saw its seven game winning streak come to an end. College of Idaho is led on the Mound by Nickayla Skinner, who has a 7-4 record on the season and an ERA of 1.65. Skinner is only allowing its opponents to hit .239 off her this season. At the plate, C of I is led by Ashley Van Horne, who is hitting a team high .373 and has a team high four stolen bases.
Whitworth
The Pirates of Whitworth will play its first game in ten days when the Mountaineers head to Spokane on Wednesday. Whitworth holds an 18-6 overall record and is currently on a four game winning streak. The Pirates swept Puget Sound, 8-0 and 19-0 on March 16th in its last games they played. Alyssa Hall leads the Pirates with a .415 batting average on the season. As a team, Whitworth is hitting .292. The Pirates have three pitchers on the team who have made ten or more appearances this season. Leading the way is Madi Perez who as pitched in 15 games (Started 13) and has pitched 68.0 innings. Riley Fritz leadsd the team with an 2.62 ERA. Whitworth is a perfect 4-0 at home this season.
Northwest Christian
Northwest Christian enters this week with a 4-15 overall record but is 3-5 in CCC play. The Beacons swept Northwest, 8-0 and 4-2, on March 22. As a team the Beacons is hitting .276 have three players hitting over .300 on the season. Leading the way for the Beacons is Parker Bonife who leads the team with four home runs, 18 RBIs and a batting average of .370. Northwest Christians pitching staff currently holds the highest ERA out of every team in the CCC as they have an ERA of 7.62 on the season. The Beacons have had three pitchers throw 20 plus innings on the season. Katie Walker leads the team with 28.1 innings pitched on the season. The Beacons are 1-7 on the road this season.
Corban
The Warriors of Corban University enter this week with a record of 15-11 on the season and 2-6 in conference play. The Warriors come into action this week with one of the most explosive offenses in the CCC. Corban leads the conference in runs scored (140), doubles (49), walks (74) and stolen bases (58). The Warriors have compiled 199 hits and 121 runs batted in, which is second best in the conference. Leading the way for Corban is Kyrianna Sorensen who is hitting .440 on the season. Sorensen has four home runs, 12 doubles and 18 RBIs on the season. She is one of four Warriors hitting .300 or better. Samantha Gutwig leads the team with an ERA of 2.98. She has appeared in ten games, while starting six of those games. The Warriors are allowing opponents to hit .282 on the season and have an ERA of 3.64.

Last Weekend
The Mountaineers were swept in a pair of doubleheaders last weekend. EOU fell to Southern Oregon, 7-1, 8-5, on Friday before heading to Oregon Tech, where they were defeated 8-4, 5-1 by the Owls.

Top 10
Senior Stephanie Maestretti ranks No. 10 in the CCC with a batting average of .375. She leads the Mountaineers with the best batting average on the team. The top eight in the conference are hitting .400 or better this season.

Non-Conference Schedule
After this week the Mountaineers will only step out of conference play three more times this season. The last three non-conference games come on April 1st, April 6th and April 15th, all of which will be played against Walla Walla University.
