Last WeekendLast weekend the Mountaineers were 0-1-1. EOU started off the weekend with a 1-0 loss to Southern Oregon. The Raiders outshot the Mountaineers 15-4 in the game. On Saturday, the Mountaineers and Owls played to a 0-0 double overtime tie.
Jessica Parker recorded four saves in the game.
Scouting the Opponents
EvergreenThe Geoducks of Evergreen State College come into the matchup with the Mountaineer with a record of 4-8 overall record and 2-3 in the CCC. The Geoducks won their last contest on Oct. 11. Evergreen defeated Northwest Christian, 3-0, their third most goals scored in a game this season. Amy Bromley leads the Geoducks on the offensive end, as she has scored four goals. Kyla Kitts leads the team with 65 saves.
NorthwestThe Eagles of Northwest come into the game against EOU with a 7-5-1 record and a 5-0 record in conference play. The Eagles are currently the top team in the CCC. Acacia Johnson leads the Eagles with 12 goals, which is the most in the CCC this season. She is averaging 0.92 goals per game. The Eagles of won six straight contests.
Last Time Against
EvergreenMauriana Gonzalez scored two goals and led the Eastern Oregon University to a 4-0 victory over The Evergreen State College Geoducks on Thursday afternoon. Along with Gonzalez,
Sydney Nelson scored one goal recorded two assists in the victory for EOU. This is EOU's sixth shutout of the season, which is tied for the most shutouts in one season.
NorthwestThe Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers fell to Northwest University Eagles, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles, Acacia Johnson, scored the game-winning-goal with 2:20 left in the match to claim the victory.
Danielle Robinson scored the lone goal for the Mountaineers.
Kailey Moss recorded three saves on the afternoon.
CCC TournamentWith only four conference games remaining, the Mountaineers find themselves in eighth place in the conference with three points. EOU will need to get to sixth place to advance to the CCC Tournament, which starts on Nov. 5th.
What's On DeckEastern Oregon hits the road to close out the 2014 regular season on Oct. 23 and 25th. EOU travels to Eugene, Ore. on Thursday to face Northwest Christian and Salem, Ore. on Saturday to face Corban.
