Great Falls Defeats Eastern 4-2, 11-0

Great Falls, MONT. – The Eastern Oregon University softball team fell to the University of Great Falls this afternoon in a double header, 2-4 and 0-11.
 
In the first game, the Mountaineers pulled within 2, 4-2, in the final inning but couldn't keep the runs coming as the Argos would come away with a 4-2 victory.
 
Tailor Snow led the Mountaineers going 1 for 3 from the plate with 2 RBI's while teammate Katie Martell went 2 for 3 from the plate.
 
Kayeley Lyons led the Argos going 2 for 4 from the plate with 2 RBI's. Alyse Sifuentes  went 2 for 3 from the plate with 1 RBI.
 
In the second game, the Mountaineers struggled offensively as they only recorded 3 hits the entire game compared to 13 by Great Falls. Great Falls led 8-0 after three innings and cruised to an 11-0 win.
 
Stefanie Maestretti, Gracie Flyg, Mariebeth and Mariebeth Watanabe all recorded a single hit for the Mountaineers.
 
Mindy Larson went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's for the Argos while teammate Regan Rucks went 1 for 1 with 2RBI's.
 
The Mountaineers will have a chance for redemption as they play Great Falls again tomorrow. Game time is set for 5:30 P.M. MT.
