NAMPA, Idaho – Eastern Oregon softball team fell to Northwest Nazarene University 4-5 and 7-8 in a double-header at Halle Field.
 
In the first game, the Mountaineers (6-3, 0-0 CCC)   lead 4-0 heading into the bottom of the third but the Crusaders (5-6)  responded with five 5 unanswered runs to give them the victory.
 
Junior Katie Martell led the Mountaineers  at the plate going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Freshman Grace Flyg went 3 for 3 at the plate.
 
 In game two, EOU opened strong but the Crusaders were too much once again edging the Mountaineers 8-7.
 
Alex Hillmick led the Mountaineers at the plate going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Martell, went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.
 
The Mountaineers will be in action again tomorrow against University of Great Falls in Nampa, Idaho.
