ABOUT THE BEACONS
Northwest Christian (7-19, 1-11) enters the weekend at the bottom of the Cascade Collegiate Conference in batting average. The Beacons split the earlier season meeting against EOU in La Grande. Eastern has hosted 12 home games this season, compared to NCU's four. Weather has altered the Beacons schedule this season, and Northwest Christian will be looking for its first victory at home in 2011. Both teams enter the weekend series with the conference's longest losing streaks.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS
Corban (15-12, 7-5) has only played three games at home, the fewest of any Cascade Conference team. The Warriors have been in the receiving votes column for much of the season, but enter the weekend losing three of their last four. Corban has a team batting average of .286 and has scored 10-or-more runs in a game seven times this season. Courtney Castronovo hit three hme runs and had four RBI in the first series against Eastern Oregon in La Grande earlier this season.

The second game was close early as The College of Idaho and Eastern each scored two runs to begin the game.
