CORVALLIS, Ore. — Following a dominant weekend at the Summer Slam, hosted by Hope International University in Fullerton, California, Eastern Oregon's Keira Vaughn has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Attacker of the Week.

A returning 2025 All-American, NAIA All-Tournament Team selection and All-Conference honoree, Vaughn put together a standout offensive performance across the Mounties' perfect 4-0 weekend. The junior outside hitter recorded 48 kills across 15 sets while hitting an impressive .415, averaging 3.20 kills per set with just four errors on 106 total attacks. Vaughn also made an impact defensively, adding nine digs and eight total blocks.

Vaughn was a consistent force throughout the weekend, leading the Mounties in kills in each of their four matches. She opened the tournament with eight kills on 18 attempts while hitting .389 in Eastern Oregon's 3-0 sweep of Life Pacific. She followed with nine kills on 19 attempts and a .368 hitting percentage in another 3-0 sweep over La Sierra.

The standout performance came against host Hope International, as Vaughn recorded a weekend-best 17 kills on 39 attempts while hitting .410 to help the Mounties rally for a 3-2 victory. She closed the weekend in dominant fashion against No. 1 Northwestern College (Iowa), posting 14 kills on 30 attempts and hitting an impressive .467 in Eastern Oregon's 3-1 victory over the top-ranked team in the nation.

Through the opening stretch of the 2026 season, Vaughn has established herself as one of the Mounties' leading offensive weapons. She currently leads Eastern Oregon with 93 kills through 26 sets, averaging 3.58 kills per set.

Vaughn and the No. 2-ranked Mounties return to action this weekend as they close out preseason play at the I-84 Classic in Nampa, Idaho.
