ASHEVILLE, N.C. – With the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships complete, Eastern Oregon officially closed out its 2025-26 spring sports season.
Riley Morris headlined the final day of competition with an impressive performance in the women's 1500m final.
After qualifying for the finals on Day 1 with a time of 4:33.84, Morris secured her place among the nation's top eight competitors. She returned on Day 3 to cap off her collegiate career with a fourth-place finish in 4:28.67, earning Outdoor Track & Field All-American honors for the second time in her career.
On the men's side,
Mark Church competed in the discus, finishing 18th overall with a throw of 44.21 meters.
With the outdoor season now complete, the curtain closes on Eastern Oregon University athletics for the 2025-26 academic year. Track & Field once again delivered a standout campaign, highlighted by a men's CCC Championship, indoor All-American honors from
Justin Krabbenhoft,
Mark Church, Grandle,
Riley Morris, and the relay team of
Peter Daniels,
Osman Osman,
Keaton Moore, and
Reuben Manzer. The Mountaineers also produced three outdoor All-Americans in Church, Grandle, and Morris, along with multiple All-Region selections, Coach of the Year honors, and numerous program records.
Capping off the season in historic fashion, Grandle returns to La Grande as a national champion after claiming the NAIA Heptathlon title.
