NEW ORLEANS, La. – After steadily climbing through a field of 112 programs, Eastern Oregon Women's Outdoor Track & Field has broken into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NAIA Top 25, landing at No. 21 in the Week 4 poll.
The Mountaineers totaled 105.74 points, including 85.23 individual points and 20.52 relay points across 21 performances.
Lizzy Grandle led the way with a national No. 1 heptathlon mark of 5,160 points at the CCC Multis Championships, contributing 34.14 points. She also added 19.37 points with her No. 7-ranked javelin throw.
Kaliyah Chronister chipped in 3.47 points with her No. 20 heptathlon performance (4,264 points) at the same meet.
On the track,
Riley Morris earned 9.83 points with a No. 12 ranking in the 1500m, while Keleah Hines added 7.65 points in the 10,000m with a No. 14 mark.
Sydney Peck contributed 5.52 points in the 400m hurdles, ranking No. 16 nationally.
In relay action, the 4x400 team of

Sydney Peck,
Sara McKen, and
Nora Roscoe posted a No. 10 national performance at the Larry Byerly Invitational, earning 12.89 points. The 4x100 relay squad of
Melanie Boatman,
Taylor Joyce,
Nora Roscoe, and
Sara McKen added 7.62 points with a No. 14 performance at the Northwest Nazarene Open.
Additional performances throughout the season accounted for the remaining points, helping secure the Mountaineers' No. 21 national ranking.
Eastern Oregon returns to competition this weekend at the Boise State Twilight meet.
