SPOKANE, Wash. – In just its second outdoor meet of the season – and the first for several athletes – Eastern Oregon Track and Field turned in an impressive showing. The Mountaineers recorded two program records, 17 additions or improvements to the EOU Top 25 list, and 32 marks that rank within the Top 10 across various events.
Men's Highlights
Nick Robinson led the way in the sprints, clocking a 10.64 in the 100m to maintain his No. 5 ranking in program history.
Keaton Moore followed closely in his outdoor debut, running 10.78 to claim the No. 6 spot all-time.
Peter Daniels opened his season with a strong 48.97 in the 400m, moving into No. 5 in program history, while
Reuben Manzer improved to No. 18 with a time of 49.78.
In the 200m, Robinson placed fourth in 21.70 to remain No. 5 all-time, with Moore close behind in sixth at 21.77, ranking No. 6 in program history.
In the field events,
Jack Herman made his outdoor debut in the pole vault, clearing 4.44m to place sixth and move into No. 19 all-time.
The 4x100m relay team of Robinson, Daniels,
James Connally, and Moore delivered a record-breaking performance, finishing second in 41.12 to surpass the previous program mark set in 2022.
The 4x400m relay team of Daniels,
Bryson Spears, Moore, and Manzer also stood out, posting the No. 2 time in program history while narrowly missing a 'B' standard.
Women's Highlights
Sara McKen highlighted the day with a record-setting performance in her outdoor debut, placing 7th in the 100m in 12.04 and breaking the previous program record set in 2021.
Elizabeth Grandle added to the event's success, running 12.55 to move into No. 16 all-time.
Sydney Peck continued her consistency in the 100m hurdles, placing fifth in 15.05 to hold her No. 7 spot in program history.
Kaliyah Chronister followed with a 15.86 finish, improving to No. 23 all-time.
In the 400m hurdles, Chronister posted a 1:07.07 to move into No. 21 all-time, while
Gracie Birkinbine followed at 1:07.67 to rank No. 24.
The 4x100m relay team of
Melanie Boatman,
Taylor Joyce,
Nora Roscoe, and McKen placed fourth with a time of 48.01, earning the No. 8 mark in program history.
The 4x400m relay team of Joyce,
Hallee Hisler, McKen, and Roscoe battled through adversity to finish fourth in 3:59.75. Despite a dropped baton, the group recovered to secure a Top 25 all-time mark at EOU.
